Tidio alternative: live chat and support, or one answer to “what should I buy”
Tidio is built for customer conversations: live chat, flows and Lyro, an AI agent that answers support questions. OneSite Assistant is built for the question before the sale, “what should I buy?”. If you need live chat, keep Tidio; the assistant does not replace it.

Choose Tidio if
- You need live chat with human agents and a place to answer support questions. We have neither.
- You want an AI agent for support: its Lyro page says it learns from your support content, alerts a human agent when a customer needs one, and that its Smart Actions cover order updates.
- You want to start free: the pricing page lists a Free plan and a 7-day trial with no card.
Choose OneSite Assistant if
- The question you want answered is about choosing a product from your catalogue, by occasion, person or description.
- You want the name, price and stock on every card to come from your catalogue by product ID, with the AI writing only the short reply and the reason lines.
- You want to see what shoppers asked for that you did not stock.
Side by side
Tidio: live chat, flows and an AI support agent. OneSite Assistant: a top pick from your catalogue for a described need, plus a few alternatives, each with a one-line reason.
Tidio, per its pricing page as of 16 October 2026: Free at $0 (50 billable conversations), Starter $24.17 a month (100), Growth from $49.17 (from 250), Plus from $300 plus usage, Premium on request. The Lyro AI agent starts at $32.50 a month for 50 conversations. The page has a monthly and an annual toggle, so check which one you are reading. Ours is on the pricing page.
Tidio’s Lyro page lists Product Recommendations among its features. It sits inside a customer-service product, so test it on your sentence-style queries rather than assuming either way.
No live chat, no helpdesk, no filters on your collection pages.
Using both
Yes. Tidio handles conversations with your customers; the assistant is a separate block for shoppers choosing what to buy. They do not share a window or a setting.
Test it on your own shoppers’ words
Do not decide from a feature table, ours included. Open your store’s search log and take five real queries: two that found the right product, two that found nothing, one written as a sentence. Run them through the tool you use today and through the OneSite Assistant demo, and compare what comes back.
If the tool you already use answers them well, keep it. If the sentence-style queries come back empty, that is the gap we are built for.
